Opposition. . .

Posted on Sep 9, 2019 by | 0 comments

op·po·si·tion: /ˌäpəˈziSH(ə)n/ – resistance or dissent, expressed in action or argument.

Let’s face it opposition is as much a part of lives as any other concept or emotion and yet many of us go through life trying to avoid it. But also like many things it is a part of this existence for reasons that we may not at first grasp.

Without opposition there is no growth. Just as we develop our physical muscles through overcoming opposition – such as lifting weights – we develop our character muscles by overcoming challenges and adversity. We can view opposition as some type of enemy against our wishes and goals and but reality is simple – we are often in opposition with principles and concepts of the mind.

So can we eliminate opposition? Yes on many levels we can, but we should always remember that a state in which we are free from problems or constraints is not always happiness nor does it gives us reasons for growth and understanding. Happiness lies in the ability to understand and transcending all opposition and obstacles so that we gain wisdom, insight and the ability for continuing to grow.

Peace and Love, Jim
