Breathe This Presence. . .
Our breath is the most faithful friend we have. It has been with us since birth, quietly keeping us alive through every joy, every heartbreak, every moment we forgot to notice.
Buddhist practice reminds us that to breathe consciously is to live consciously. Every inhale is a beginning. Every exhale, a letting go. Between them lies the full rhythm of life itself.
When we anchor ourselves in breath, we come home to now. The mind stops wandering into yesterday’s mistakes or tomorrow’s worries. The breath brings us back — to the only place we can ever truly live: the present.
Try this: when stress rises or your thoughts scatter, stop and take one slow, kind breath. Feel the air move in and out. Feel yourself arrive. You don’t have to fix or change anything. You’re already here.
Breathing the present isn’t a practice of control; it’s one of surrender — a returning home to what has always been waiting.
Peace and Love, Jim
