The Still Point. . .

In the whirl of our modern world, silence can feel like an endangered species. Notifications, responsibilities, constant noise — we move from one moment to the next with barely a breath in between. Yet within all this motion, there exists what ancient teachers called the still point — that timeless space between inhale and exhale, thought and thought, doing and being.

This still point is not something you find outside of life; it lives quietly within it. You can feel it when you sit for a moment and simply be. It’s the pause before you speak, the deep breath before a decision, the calm within the storm.

When we learn to touch this inner quiet, life doesn’t necessarily become easier — but we become steadier. The still point doesn’t remove chaos; it helps us stand calmly in its center. It’s a reminder that beneath every movement, there is a silence holding it all together.

So today, when the world rushes you, pause. Don’t chase peace — listen for it. That still point is always there, waiting for you to remember.

Peace and Love, Jim
