New Mind, New Day. . .

In Zen, they call it Shoshin — beginner’s mind. It means approaching each day, each experience, with openness and curiosity, as if seeing it for the first time.

Somewhere along the path, we trade wonder for certainty. We start to believe we’ve “seen it all,” and life begins to dull. Beginner’s mind breaks that spell.

To live with beginner’s mind is to allow surprise, to welcome not-knowing as a friend. It’s to greet your morning coffee, your partner, your own thoughts with fresh eyes as if they are brand new, because in truth, they are.

Every moment in life is unrepeatable. Every sunrise is its own miracle.

So let today be your first day again. Drop what you think you know. Meet the world like a child meeting snow for the first time — wide-eyed, present, and full of quiet joy.

Todays thought: What is a resh perspective and how can you cultivate one?

Peace and Love, Jim
