Quiet Courage. . .

Faith in Buddhism is not blind belief — it’s confidence born of experience. It’s the quiet trust that comes from walking the path yourself, step by step.

Faith begins when we stop needing guarantees. When we practice, meditate, or live kindly even without proof of outcome — that’s faith in motion. It’s a courage that whispers, keep going, even when you can’t see the end.

This kind of faith is not naive; it’s deeply grounded. It acknowledges impermanence yet still chooses hope. It knows suffering but trusts in awakening.

Sometimes, faith is simply sitting on the cushion when the mind doesn’t want to. Or choosing compassion when anger feels easier.

Have faith in your practice, in your growth, in the unseen unfolding of your life. Even the smallest candle can hold back a vast darkness.

Peace and Love, Jim
