Many of us experience discomfort in many ways and on many levels. From the physical to the emotional we can sometimes come to know our discomforts well.

In every situation we feel discomfort we often want it to be different and though understandable this mental attitude does not serve us well physically or emotionally. It often leads the mind to grasping for ideas about our situations past tenses – what could or should have been. This distracts us from the present moment and how we are coping. It in some way makes us passive.

If we can actively deal with our discomfort, embrace it to some degree and not simply have passive acceptance, we can be aware of our situations and often see things within a new light of being, of dealing and yes of dis-arming to some degree our discomfort.
