Stop The Drift. . .
Night falls. The phone is calling. The world wants one more scroll. But Buddhism invites us to pause—and end our day with intention.
Before sleep, create a simple ritual.
Dim the lights. Sit in stillness. Reflect.
Ask: Where was I present today? Where did I drift? Where did I choose kindness?
This isn’t self-criticism—it’s self-witnessing.
When we examine our day with compassion, we grow in awareness. We recognize patterns. We plant seeds of change.
And in doing so, sleep becomes a sacred act—not escape, but integration.
You don’t need a monastery.
You just need a quiet moment. And yourself, fully there.
Peace and Love, Jim
