Understand; verb un·der·stand \ ˌən-dər-ˈstand \ – to have understanding : have the power of comprehension; to achieve a grasp of the nature, significance, or explanation of something; to show a sympathetic or tolerant attitude toward something.

Life on many levels requires but one thing – Understanding. The 2 things you need for understanding: Focus and Practice.

1) Focus – If you really focus on one thing and the only thing that matters, you will do it much better. Multitasking is not for humans so hang it up and instead focus on divine if not sublime concentration on each singable task you take on. Forget about everything else, past, & future. Think and act only about the work that you are presently doing.

2) Practice – Bruce lee’s saying goes like this, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” So, Practice is must to be best at all times. Once you have practiced a single task countless times and you could do it without paying attention. So, Pay attention to only one thing and Practice until you become Master.

PS: These two are not only for understanding and grasping for learning. It works for any skill. If you see great people’s history, you can see these 2 facts everywhere. (eg. Vivekananda, Bruce Lee, Dan Milman, etc).

Peace and Love, Jim
