Dharma Gate. . .

We underestimate the sacred power of speech. Words can hurt, heal, divide, or connect. Buddhism reminds us of Right Speech—truthful, gentle, beneficial, and timely.

In daily life, this means noticing our impulses: Are we interrupting? Defending? Just trying to be “right”?

Instead, what if we:

• Listened more than we spoke?

• Chose stillness before response?

• Used words like offerings, not weapons?

Our tone, our timing, our honesty—they all reflect our mindfulness.

Every conversation becomes a Dharma gate.

We don’t need robes to practice compassion. Sometimes, all it takes is not interrupting. Or truly hearing someone’s pain before offering advice.

Peace and Love, Jim
