Freedom From The Concept. . .

The greatest illusion we live under is the belief in a solid, separate self — the idea that I am here and you are there. The Buddha called this illusion anatta, or “no-self.”

This doesn’t mean we don’t exist — it means we exist interdependently. The self we cling to is a collection of thoughts, memories, and roles that constantly shift. When we look deeply, there is no fixed “me” to defend — only life unfolding through us.

Freedom comes when we stop protecting the illusion and start participating in reality. Without the burden of self-importance, we become lighter, kinder, more open.

Think of the ocean and its waves. Each wave has a temporary name and shape, but all are made of the same water. When you realize this, the fear of separation fades.

You were never just the wave. You were always the ocean.

Peace and Love, Jim
