Honor Space, Not Control. . .

Love often tempts us toward control. We want the people we care about to be safe, happy, or to see things our way. But in Buddhist practice, love is not possession — it’s freedom.

To hold space for another means to be fully present with them, without fixing, judging, or steering. It’s the willingness to sit beside someone in their uncertainty and not rush to solve it.

This kind of love grows from trust — trust in the unfolding of another’s path, trust that your presence is enough. When we release control, we make room for connection.

Today, practice holding space. Listen without offering solutions. Care without conditions. This is love in its purest form — spacious, steady, and wise.

Peace and Love, Jim
