In Transition. . .
There’s this in-between time that I love. Not quite spring and not quite summer, Just… somewhere in the middle. It’s easy to overlook, but it might be the most important part. Because this is where transition happens.
We often rush through our transitions. We want clarity, definition or labels for what things are. But life doesn’t always work like that. Sometimes you’re not who you used to be, but not quite who you’re becoming and that’s okay. In fact, that’s necessary.
This space between seasons is where things recalibrate. Where roots grow deeper before anything visible happens above the surface. So if you feel a little undefined right now, don’t panic. You’re not lost, you’re in transition.
And that’s where the real work happens. Buddhism emphasize that transformation is a constant process of shedding, becoming, and awakening to each stage, season and moment of our personal growth journey. To live is to change, and to change is to have embraced our transitions with grace, courage and understanding.
We may delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but we rarely understand the many changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
Peace and Love, Jim
