Small Moments, Big Awareness. . .
Enlightenment isn’t always found on mountaintops. More often, it lives in the small, ordinary moments we overlook — washing dishes, waiting at a stoplight, greeting a neighbor.
When we give full attention to these moments, something sacred happens. We awaken. The mundane becomes meaningful because our awareness transforms it.
The Buddha taught that mindfulness is the path to the deathless. That means every small moment of awareness is a doorway to freedom. The act itself doesn’t matter as much as how fully we are there for it.
Try being fully present for one simple act today — brushing your teeth, sipping tea, folding laundry. Feel the textures, the sounds, the sensations. This is where the real practice lives — in the heart of the ordinary.
Each small act done with awareness becomes a prayer. Each moment of presence, a step toward awakening.
Thought for the day: What do you see in each of your small moments? How does awareness change those moments?
Peace and Love, Jim
