The Longer Light. . .
This morning felt different. Not dramatically. Not in some cinematic, birds-singing-in-perfect-harmony kind of way. Just… lighter. The sun stayed a little longer. The shadows softened instead of stretching too quickly into night.
Spring does that. It doesn’t demand your attention. It earns it slowly.
I’ve been thinking about how often we rush through our own seasons. We want clarity now. Growth now. Peace now. But nature doesn’t operate like that. It unfolds. The trees don’t force their leaves. The light doesn’t snap into place. It lingers, then expands.
We can do the same.
Growth isn’t about becoming something overnight, it’s about noticing the subtle shifts. This can very much be like the extra patience you may have had today or the moment you didn’t react the way you used to. Those are your brighter days, your signs that spring isn’t just happening outside – it can happen within you too, if you allow it.
So take a moment today. Step outside. Feel the air. Notice the light. You’re changing, even if it doesn’t feel dramatic. And that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.
Peace and Love, Jim
