The great French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–78) wrote in his work Emile: “There is no happiness without courage nor virtue without struggle.”

His sentiments are as timeless today for I have personally found that without courage there is no happiness and it is impossible to create a life of value and meaning. May we each embrace and come to personally grow from this is an unchanging rule of human existence.

Peace and Love, Jim
